A family with a physically or mentally disabled person in the household can apply for a grant from the 3H Fund. The grant helps the family with the cost of a UK holiday.

CHILD TAX CREDIT
You’ll already be getting child tax credits if you have a child under 16 or under 20 in eligible education or training. If your child is disabled, you should be getting extra help. You could get up to £84 a week!
GAS & ELECTRICITY BILLS
Some gas and electricity suppliers have set up funds that give grants if you’re in financial hardship because of fuel costs.
Some water companies can offer you help from their charitable trust schemes, so contact your water company for more information. The WaterSure scheme is available to families on certain benefits who have a water meter. It will allow those families to have their bills capped so they won’t get a massive bill out of the blue. Direct payments can be used for a variety of services that offer your child stimulation, new experiences and independence.
To receive direct payments, you first need to contact your local council or trust to ask them to assess your care needs. How much you get depends on your financial circumstances, and you might need to top it up with money of your own. APPLY HERE for Direct Payments.
COUNCIL TAX DISCOUNT
You can get a discount on your Council Tax if your child needs extra space or an additional bathroom because of their disability.
WARM HOME DISCOUNT SCHEME
You could get £140 off your electricity bill through the Warm Home Discount Scheme. This money isn’t paid to you but it is added as a one-off discount on your electricity bill. The discount won’t affect your Cold Weather Payment or Winter Fuel Payment either.
NEED A NEW BOILER?
You could get up to £1,000 towards the replacement of your boiler.

This card allows free entry for one carer when accompanied by paying child (with disability). It costs £5.50 a year.
THEATRE TICKETS – SPECIAL NEEDS LINE
All theatres reserve tickets for families with children with a disability. Even if the theatre has sold out of regular tickets, you may be able to get tickets for you and your child. Ask for the Special Needs Line. One ticket is usually free. (You will need proof of your child’s disability)

Dream Makers Is a Children’s Charity grants the wishes and dreams of ill and disabled children
Free cakes for kids bake for families, who find it difficult to provide a birthday cake for their child.
The Fred Foundation
The Fred Foundation helps fund education programmes (for groups and organisations) for children with Autism.
The Jewish Autism Trust supports families in the Jewish community who have children with Autism or Aspergers.
The Foundation operates throughout England and Wales and gives grants to individuals and organisations researching into all aspects of Autism at a university college or higher/further education institution.
